I ran into an interesting situation when cleaning/rebuilding my Warn hubs for my Dana 30 ( for this project: http://www.earlycj5.com/forums/showthread.php?p=768925 )

One had a roller bearing and shims on the inner sprocket, the other had a plastic bushing. The housings also seemed different as the roller bearing slides in the back of the housing with nothing apparently holding it in, while the plastic bushing type has a snap ring holding it in.

I am assuming they are supposed to be the same, but somebody mixed and matched?

Does anyone know where to get a new roller bearing? That one is shot.

Picture - top is roller bearing type, bottom is plastic bushing.

Well, it appears the bearing is no longer manufactured or available, which is bad, since it was missing a few rollers. I think I'll have to punt and buy new hubs.

For the roller bearing. Check applied industrial technologies. They have been able to get all kinds of odd bearings that I've needed in the past.
