Fender flairs

    Installed then today. Didn't want to put them on, but was getting too muddy.:rofl:

    I know how you feel. I ran a set like those for a while, but I didn't like the way they closed up the wheel openings, and thought they made the Jeep look like a newer one..

    Looks good though,,, I remember when I had flares to keep the mud off,,, didnt think I'd miss them till the first time I had a foot of each side of the inside of the windshield coated in 3/4 inch of mud :) Good thing we don't get too much rain here.

    if they have 7 screws through the body (not through the fender lip) then I'd bet they're Crowne Ind. units, just installed a set on Kahuna

    Yea, about seven. Not sure I like the hard plastic. :(

    On the early CJ's the tire doesn't stick out far enough to need those.

    Seems to me they would increase your chance of body damage if the flare makes contact with a tree or rock, since they are buper rigid and bolted to the sheetmetal. They wouldnt give but the sheetmetal under them would, where a plastic/rubber flare would give before the body was damaged if it was a minor contact.
    IMHO.
