1965 cj-5

What model Transfer case and transmission would I have in it

it has the hurricane 4 motor 3 speed

TC and transmission is leaking TC in the back by the Parking brake
in the front seal of the tranny, I dropped it off at a place my friend told me about, and the guy said he would put the jeep on the lift drop the tranny out
and order the parts and would let me help him fix it.

But he could not find the right seals
none were felt, plus the parking brake needs new parts broke and filled with oil.

I told him I thought it was a T90 tranny and a Dana18 TC thats if I am right
but still can't find the parts locally.

So where on line could I get seals for everything and parts for parking brake

and am I right it being a T90 and dana 18

Search the forum for old posts about sealing the Dana 18, and about the parking brake.

There is a sticky thread at teh top of the "restoration" forum that gives sources for parts.

 

FWIW I would think twice on letting a guy work on my Jeep that couldn't find the parts, its not like they are hard to find.

 

he tried locally and no one could help him
he does front ends but said he would help me with this

do the have to be felt
mine is felt and rubber together
but see some that are for sale rubber and felt separate
