Made my introduction in the proper place and now I would like to gather a little more information about our Jeep.

    Serial #

    8422-10442

    Motor #

    4J452525

    Trim #

    248

Here is a picture of it. My father-in law says it is all original except for the battery and back seat.

    Sorry.

Let me ask this question. Most of what I have read states that the CJ6A Tuxedo Park included a column shift. Ours is a floor mounted 3-speed. Was the column shift an option?

How do I tell what transmission, t-case, etc I have?

*Basic vehicles include – oil filter, oil bath air cleaner, directional signals, permanent anti-freeze, dual windshield wipers, front seat belts, closed crankcase ventilation, 2/3 front adjustable driver’s seat, chrome bumpers, 35-amp alternator, glove box door, body steps, remote shift, 2-stage springs, chrome trim and single lever transfer case.

Though there's plenty of Tux Parks that don't have the column shift.

T90 transmission, Dana 18 transaxle, Dana 27 front axle, Dana 44 rear axle - if all is stock as you say.

Just something to note. The windshield on this tux park is black. The windshield on the tux in this thread http://www.earlycj5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68865 is body color. Both are susposed to be orgional. But they come from different years.

Nice looking Jeep buy the way.

Nice Tux! Looks to be in great shape too. I really dig the Tuxedo Park Jeeps.

    NICE! congrats and welcome.

My '66 has the original seats and tranny, which are separate, not 60/40. I think the column shift and 60/40 seats were designed to be utilized together. I am fairly certain that it has the orig. tranny which is the T-86 w/floor shift. They did not put a T-90 behind the V6 to my knowledge. Sometime between 66 and 68 they went to the T-14 tranny.

As far as add'l info, the last three digits of the VIN is the sequential #,so it looks like yours was not far from the last of the 6As, (459). You should have 10" drum brake option, likely 3.73 gear ratio in diffs.

I've seen several V6 floor shift Tux's with the 60/40. My Dad has one.
T14 replaced the T86 in V6 Jeeps in '68 for the most part. No T90 for the V6.
