Okay I have researced, and searched, and correct me if I am wrong here.

I have heard some people say that early 231 heads will fit with no problems on the 225 block.

Then I have heard, the fitment issue is collant passages in the intake do not align correctly and they need to be changed.

I have also heard that late model 231 heads, have more attachemnt points.

So here is the deal, My heads are shot. and I sank some money into these things, but PO had milled out and pressed new valve seals in and they are just to thin I have already dropped one, and it seems now I have a pinhole water leak in the drivers side.

    So...

I found a deal on a Evenfire 231, My block has been completly rebuilt less than 500 miles on it, bored with cam. These heads are the Highrise heads on the 231, but it comes with the Highrise Edlebrock Intake and Carb. If the intake coolant passage was the problem on the 225, then using a 231 Intake Should? could? would? eliminate water passage problems?

    Are there more attachment points?

Just trying to get the most bang for my buck here. If I can track down new 225 heads and then the machine work on the heads even using all my new parts out of my old heads is gonna cost, while I could sell my offey intake, Holley carb to offset the cost of the 231 with the intake and carb. The heads on the 231 are not as built as mine, but they PO had the heads rebuilt a while ago when he was working on putting the engine in a Cj5.

Any info would be helpful, again I guess the big question is if the intake elimantes the water flow problems that seem to be the biggest issue on 231 heads on a 225.

    Thanks

    Dave

Have actually tried to find the book, it looks like I might just order it.

I have just gotten so mucth conflicting info its better to talk to people that have physically explored both parts or done the swap.

According to TA performance, If I want a set of there alum heads, they Bolt up with no mods to the 225 but you must use later model intake.

Im just going to do this the old fashion way.

Buy the 231, buy a set of new 225 heads (if I can find them)

And then use my old heads and verify what and what will not "Actually fit"
