friends 46 2a...whats right

    a friend of mine picked up this 46 2a.....looks real nice,has some franken mods to it..what is right,,and whats not/bad/good etc...

    what i noticed...3a windshield,,greyhound emblems instead of wood blocks on hood,,no data tags on tub..tailgate welded(has orig tailgate guy took off..some diamond plate in floor,custom air cleaner,lights....thats the big stuff,,what say you

    That is an m38 windshield frame, it has at least a gpw head, maybe a gpw engine. Other than that I dont see to much, but i dont know cj2a's very well

    Interesting air horn for the carb. Somebody put some work into that it looks like. What is on the steering column? A Tach?

    yeah its a tach,,,i wonder if willys was still putting gpw engines in the cj2's until they caught up....im sure they had tons of engines laying around waiting for bodies

    nah,,,,didnt get a hood shot,,they are 2 metal greyhounds bolted through the hood block holes,,,,

    I dont think willys ever put the gpw engine in a cj2a, they did use some mb engines and some F marked parts.

    There is no hook or loop for yout to tilt the inner vent open on it. That is the main difference between civvy and military

    apparently in my surfing,,the brackets on the inside are for rifle mounts also

    The head says GPW, but does the block? Look on the lower right side of the block.
