I inherited a 1969 cj-5 project. It has a new fiberglass tub. there are no seat mounts in it at present, but I have 2 nice seats from a 70's model cj.

I have looked at the mounts where the outside end mounts on the entry door sill and the inside foot is on the raised portion of the trans hump. Using this one with these seats brings the seat very high and very difficult for rotund people to get behind the wheel.

Will the flop forward style form the 70's work without too much problem? Any pics or ideas are appreciated.

Also I have the t style emergency brake mounting assembly for the trans brake, cable already installed. So far there are no holes in the firewall yet and I was wondering how this is susposed to mount. It seems like it is too long from the end where you connect the cable to where the top mount (by the T) to fit nicely under the dash like on the mid 50's chevy's. Any pics or ideas are also appreiated.

I bought Corbeau baja rs seats and the racing mounts (corbeau) to keep the seats as low as possible (dont want my head above the windshield). I notched the wheel wells to add more rear slide and it worked out great. With flares on one cannot really see the mod from the outside and there is plenty of travel room. Fabricated a pivot and lock for passenger seat which allows seat to pivot fwd and access the tool box. I could add pics nut I am not sure how to do it with the new web site.
