L head rotor

Working with my local NAPA on trying to find a rotor for my 48 Willys Jeepster we have found that the rotor I need is discontinued and replaced with a different style. We have tried three Echlin AL32 from different warehouses and found the same thing. The notch on the inside of the rotor that fits into the groove on the distributer shaft has been changed and is now a big slug of plastic that runs into the center of the rotor. My distributer would need a groove milled out of it for the rotor to set properly. My parts guy called them and they said they no longer produce the rotor style I need because it was low volume. What brand rotors are you guys using and what is the part number. Please help. I'll post pictures tonight of what I'm talking about.

 

I get my rotors from Walcks. Have you tried talking to Carl? I'm bet he carries them.

is it the kind shaped like a whale tail and had 4 sides on the shaft ? I have a brand new one i dont need
