I have a '69 CJ5 with a 225 V6 in it. It was a gift that we took apart and did a trans rebuild, transfer case rebuild, new clutch, pr.plate, throwout bearing, put in a new front differential, and did some minor motor work. Now at the last minute we (me and my 3 sons) are confused about whether or not it is a 12v positive ground or negative ground. I believe it is a negative ground, but want to make sure before we hook it up. Putting in the battery is the last thing we have to do before starting it up. Is it positive or negative ground ? Thanks in advance for your help.

ECJ5 is here to help ,but you might want to buy a repair manual in the future.you rebuilt all that stuff, thats very impressive.

Thanks for the input. It's a negative ground, and has now been on it's maiden voyage around the farm. The reason I was confused about the ground is because my son labeled the battery cables incorrectly when we took the jeep apart. I do intend to find a manual for it. Thanks again - this forum is great for getting good info, advice, and responses.
