Hello Everybody. I was wondering do the original flat fender hoods have any kind of supports in/on them. I'm trying my best to make my hood some what flat again and all it really wants to is do bow out again in a different place:(. any help would be nice. and remember to latch both of the latches that hold down the hood:oops:

On mine, it looks like the seam down the middle is all the support it has.

what i did to add more strength to the hood was weld a peice of angle iron to the seam in the middle. it really works great and the hood doesnt have a flimsy feel any longer. i dont have a pic now but i can post one eventually. another benifit to doing this is that you can run a cable from a hole in the angle iron and somewhere on the engine or engine compartment to make a hood stay, so when the hood is up it doesnt rest on the windsheild frame.
