I have the same lift - no problem with the driveshaft though?

You can take it to a driveshaft shop and have it lengthened. It's good if you can take the entire jeep with the driveshaft in and let them measure it for you. I had the same lift and didn't have to alter my driveshaft. I wonder if there is something else going on there?

With only 2.5 inches of lift, there should be no need for modifying the stock driveshaft. May be other things that need looking into. Compare the price of a local shop modifying your shaft vs getting a completely new shaft from Tom Woods, etc.

When I had my rear shaft modified with a cv joint the local shop charged me over 350$ for the shaft and yolk for the t-case output.

Also, if you have welding skills you can cut the tubing with a tube cutter, find some thick wall tubing that has the same ID as the shafts OD in the length needed, sleeve and weld it all up. I have helped a friend do this when he got a used Tom Woods shaft from a CJ-5 to put into his CJ-7. We made the new tube full length, that it u-joint to u-joint. As the front shaft is not used at highway speeds, balancing isn't necessary.

he might not have the original shaft due to one or more previous owners, engine swap, trans swap, etc etc
either way, just measure for what you need and have a new tube welded in.

I wonder if the center pin hole in the springs are not centered. measure from spring eye to pin hole from front to rear then do it from rear of spring to pin hole and see if there is a difference.
