Not 100% sure. My book (came with JeepR)) says flanged axle came with power lok or trak loc as an option and is identified by tag #2. All my tag #2 says is "Limited slip lube". But it sure looks very similar to the trak loc I took out of my CJ7.

Front Complete minus brakes. Tell ya this has been a lot of fun getting the kids involved. I think they are finally "getting it". They looked at the before and after pics of the axels and I could see in their eyes they had that feeling of pride. Good Times for sure:)

    Progress:)

Well we've made some progress on the kids Jeep.:)

Lined the Tub, Axles in, new springs, found 2g, fabbed up dry element air cleaner, another member here was kind enough to donate to the cause a very good condition set of deep dish Kelsey Hayes 15x8 rims (all five). Drive shafts rebuilt. New 30x9.50 toyo tires. Most importantly, the wife and I took her out for a spin today put at least 150 miles on her. Drives great, runs strong, good times.
Time to start tear down for paint:beer:

Some pics, I'll get pics of the tub tomorrow. Thanks again for all the help.

Hey Curly, I went ahead and moved this to the builds section, hope you don't mind.

Looking good! Especially since the color scheme mirrors that of my first CJ-5. ;)

It appears we have the same disease or very close. A few pics of my 70 under "introductions" mine is bone stock except seats, wheels and an HEI. The latest symptoms include an uncontrollable desire for a winch. Wondered what you had figured out about the pto winch.
    Good luck and nice work.

Yeap, I took a look at your pics. It appears from some reading that our factory t18 and v6's are somewhat rare. I was wondering if my transmission tunnel plates where factory but yours are identical to mine so I guess that confirms it. I also have the original bill of sale from the dealer for mine and it did indeed come from the dealer with the t18 and 4.88's. I will be starting the PTO winch build this spring, I'll keep you posted how that all turns out. Nice build BTW:beer: It's a disease for sure, heres a couple of before and afters of my 7.

Thanks again for all the help. I have some very happy kids and the wife loves the thing too.
All we have left is to install the windshield and locate some very elusive V6 emblems and we're set for now.
