I have two questions. Firstly, I am rebuilding the steering now on my 5 and I am in need of a bell crank and bolt. I measured the large "bolt" that goes through the bell crank and I am coming up with 1 1/8". Everywhere I look, they only sell a 7/8" diameter bolt and bell crank.

Am I going crazy? If I am measuring this correctly, does anyone know where I can get a replacement?

Also, I am having a hard time trying to find the correct replacement master cylinder for my Jeep. I have the dual resevoir with the flat bolt on cap that mounts on the frame. I can find the early single resevoir and the late "bubble top" firewall mounted one, but I can't find the middle one. Can anyone help me out?

Can't help with the MC but for the bellcrank bolt there's needle bearings go in there.

Do I have something strange? My bellcrank 'bolt' didn't have any needle bearings. It's smooth and sets into a bronze bushing. Is this a jerry rigged set up or is there an earlier version?

Yea, mine didn't have needle bearings.

Thanks jglad. That's what I need. So, when I go to put in the brake fluid, I can still do it through the access hole in the floor using the bubble top MC? Is it very hard to get the wire keeper off through the access hole through the floor?
