I have a 66 CJ5 V6 stock. The engine will stall out after a few miles. If I wait awhile it will start up and run good for awhile.I checked the carb and saw gas squirting so it seems like electrical problem.Any ideas? Thanks

Check for spark when it dies. Could be a bad ignition coil.

Good call on the bad ignition coil. I've been had by that one. Also been educated, the hard way, by a bad distributor condenser.

    Good Luck!

sounds like either the coil or the condenser, condencers are well known for this when they start to fail, in most cases they just plain out fail, but have seen them act they way you describe. i carry a spare, they are only a couple bucks and easy to swap out;)

A faulty ignition switch is another possibility.
