I am thinking of using a 2 wheel drive postal jeep frame for my 64 cj5 is this a straight swap? The frame is boxed most of the way back but does not have a front cross member any thoughts?

I had a dj and I looked at it briefly I think it would go smoothly . the only thing I can think of is a tab to mount the transfer case. what year is the dj?

It was my observation that the basic frame thickness was a little thinner than a CJ? I don't know the year of the one I had but it was peppered with holes, too, would've taken more time to weld up than I was willing to do!

I do think everthing would bolt /line up though.
