Can't find one. Where do you go for master kits? Hopefully closer to San Diego )and cheaper) than Kanter :)

I got my gasket kit, and new clutch, from Autozone. I let the machine shop purchase the new pistons, rings, and bearings.

Just about any FLAPS can order what you need, and LOTS cheaper than Kanter.

If you do a search, autozone used to carry a master rebuild kit that was very reasonable. I want to say the vendor was Hi-tech.

I just called my Autozone, and they said 'no dice'. So something changed with hitech. I searched the hitech site, and it came up with nothing for that kit, and many other jeep kits. I'm waiting for a response from them.

    w3, What's a FLAPS?

Yeah, i've tried all those. There's one - a specialty antique parts shop - i havent' called yet, and they're my last hope for something local. Otherwise, i'll probably have to go to arizona for kits

Try whoever is doing your machine work. One, the parts will all be correct. Two, you might get a better deal. My machine shop ordered all my parts for the rebuild and gave me a killer deal. Worth a shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Meaning, they got you parts, and you did the rebuild?
Or they gave you a deal on parts + labor when they did the job?
Doing it myself is better, but I'll definitely check with my mach shop

You are going through what most us have already been through---a younger person on the counter that does not or can not go to the old fasion paper books and look up the parts. Usually--any vehicle over 10 years old are droped from the computer--the parts are out there.
Go on line to all the major parts places O'Reilys, RockAuto, Auto Zone ect and put in your jeeps info and you will find the parts needed--some of the parts however, you will need to call the store for a price. Once you have a part number in hand, all they have to do is type it into the computer to see how much it is and how long it will take to get it.
    Simple--No
    Doable--Yes.
    Good luck!!
