what year? iv never seen a plate like that myself

 

I have not seen one quite like this one. Maybee someone else has. But most all go on the passenger side firewall on the engine side. All my willys/overland tags that I have do not look like this one but like I said, mine are all 2A's 3A's even an M38A1 and have seen the later kaiser tag on my dads 67 which are all located in the same place but just havent seen one quite like this. Is it a reproduction tag or original??

 

usually on the dash
look for the holes
middle to passenger side
GSA type tag

 

it's an original plate.
my cj5 is a 63 so i assumed it goes with my jeep.

 

i see now 3-63

Is that a rifle rack on the dash of the white jeep you posted? Never seen anything like that before.

 

i am trying to figure out a good way to clean that plate without wrecking the black paint or enamel.
soap and hot water didnt help.
it's really hard to read.
