Started my self study class/work on your own project today.

Its been so cold this past week I couldn't get out to get the jeep body on the trailer so I decided to work on a smaller project that I really needed for wimpy. A couple weeks ago I got the heater core and blower installed and figured the heat just dumping into the jeep from under the dash would help. it is warmer, but the windshield fogs up fast.

The only problem is with the m38a1 body, the battery box gets in the way of the normal cj5 diverter for the heater.

So I took a spare blower housing and ductwork to class today and built a new diverter box so I can hook the defroster back up. kinda nice having access to a 4 foot shear and 4 foot brake8) mig welder, tool room with pretty much whatever tool you need... We just have to provide all our materials for the class.

So here's two pics of the box. Pretty simple. have a 2" tube coming off the top for the plastic duct and drilled about 5 3/8" holes in the bottom to let a little air at the feet. I hooked my blower motor up to a jump pack and the windshield should be pretty clear of any condensation once I get it installed:D

Next week I'll be taking the old body from wimpy in to work on it. One of the instructors I had last year is taking the class too and I mentioned it to him. He's got the front floors sitting in his garage attic he's bringing next week and said he'd give me one heck of a deal just so he could get rid of them8) I'll make sure I take some pictures of the work as it progresses.
