Hey everyone. Just the other day I reinstalled my speedometer cluster. Before I disconnected all the wires I wrote down where they went. After hooking everything back up, my fuel and temperature gauges are acting very strange. The needle moves up, but then it drops down and goes back up again. They constantly fluctuate almost at the rate. I'm positive everything was hooked up how it was before i took it apart. They worked fine before I took the cluster out. Any ideas as to what's causing this?

It sounds like the voltage regulator is bad. Also check your grounds. 12 volt systems can get crazy if the grounds are not really good. You may need to Add grouding straps from the dash panel to the body, body to frame, engine to frame, etc. At least in the future you'll know grounding is not the issue.
