Stock tire size?

    Anyone know what the stock tire size was on a 1952 CJ3A? Thanks in advance!!

    7.00x16, or 7.00x15, or maybe even 6.00x16 or 6.00x15 depends what the orginal buyer ordered.

    Thanks, I know mine has 16" rims, just wanted to put some orginal size rough treads on it. I think the flattie's look better with rough treads than with fatty's. I don't want a lift either, thier too skinny, they feel tipsey when lifted unless you widen the track a bit.

    Thanks, now those are some willys jeep tires. They have that agressive look I was wanting.

    Looky what the fedrex man dropped off for me from vintage tire
    Gonna replace the dry rotted 600x 16s w/ some 700x 16s

    Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, those ought to be self cleaning and look at the size of those lugs.

    8) Cant wait to see them mounted :) I would be interested in knowing what the rolling radius ( floor to center of axle ) of the 7.00*16 is, I have been contemplating some military tires myself.

    I picked up 1" additional clearance from the old tires(600x 16s). Here's several picks mounted up. Specs call out 30.50" diameter, 5.80 tread width, and ground to C/L axle cap is 15"

    Oh my apologies to Wendell for hijacking his thread, but I figured you might want to see these tires.
