I was just offered a NOS Kayline top... Missing bows but has everything else. Can bestop bows work? Or just make the cage in a manner to support the top?
    Thanks!

IMHO you don't want the cage to be your support....bows tension the fabric, looks better/less noise
Not sure if the bestop will work, but if you want I can take pics of my Kayline bows later....maybe you could compare to pics on their site

I did a tech article on Kayline installation
    showing my top
cuz you'll need the rods as well that keep tension on the bows

Jim, looks complex... Do you think the top and doors minus bows is still worth 250?

    yep
I paid over $400 for my last new complete top, over 25 years ago.
the rods can be homebrewed with a little work
worth the $$, I'd be all over it
is it a Luxair model, with the little windows in the rear and sides ?

Jim's pics show the type of hardware you would need if you go thru with that top.
not the correct lengths for your Jeep, but the basics and a good starting point.

Seth scored me a top, and he says it's missing the bow pivots IIRC. He needs to send me some pictures and I need to send him some $ :p

That looks simple, and as you and I talked about the NOS top is probably for an ECJ5 :(

If you don't want the top I want a chance to take it off your hands. I have a kayline top and been looking for a replacement. PM me and maybe we can negotiate,

    Nope
There was the NOS top missing the bows but the tops for an ECJ5 and the seller decided just to keep it for himself for future use on his
Then Windyhill scored me a used top which I'm planning on making the missing hardware for (bow swivels:?) and using
    Sorry man
