Remove fresh air intake?

    The box underneath the fresh air intake on my 74 tub sits exactly where I want to put my aftermarket heater. Any reason why I can't / shouldn't cap off the air intake since I am not using the AMC heater/ defroster system? Thanks.

    I took out my whole heater assembly and was planning on capping it off myself. Just not sure how to do it without allowing water to pool up top. How were you planning on capping yours off?

    I have a friend that works at a stainless steel fab shop. I was going to ask them to make a solid cover to replace the slotted one.
