Tux ready for paint

    Have done lots of searches but----- Paint code calls for President Red #2 (ordered). Windshield will be High Gloss Black enamal but the question is the grill. Does this 66 Tux grill go White? If so is it bright white - Medium white - Dull white? Any help Please...

    My 64 6a tux grill is matching president red, and the 64 5a is matching nordic blue (i think thats the name of the color) and both look original sorry i cant help you much more

    I cant recall seeing a Tux (or any other CJ) with a grill that didn't match the rest of the body.

    Are you seeing something that looks original that's pointing you to a contrasting grill?

    Thinking of a Mark III. Mark IV's were body color AFAIK.

    Ah - I'd seen that and it didn't register. Optional or all Mark III you think?

    Never seen an original Mark III w/o it. That late '60 here recently that was IC also had white underneath the paint on the grille.

    Thank's guys. I just wanted to keep it as orig as poss. Some sanding on grille doesn't expose any white paint so i am going red. Tnx.

    Both of my Tuxes (64 & 66) the grill was the same as the body. Both were red.
