Roger that, actually I currently have some 12.5" MTR's on 10" rims, but I'm going to be adding some DIY bead locks and since it adds approx. 1/2"-3/4" to rim width I'm going to move down to some 8" rims :)

To the OP, I've always liked the Soft 8's but check out the V5 (here); I personally like them better than the Soft 8's but I think they're new so no-one really knows about them?

    NICE I like. but wouldn't my 75 CJ5 have 5 on 5.5?

Yes, it would be 5 on 5.5. Just a suggestion, nickel ads, craigslist or the local junk yard. I got a set of 5 15x8x5.5 rims for $25 off craigslist. Sandblasted them, two coats primer, three coats krylon and I have some really nice black rims for less than $40. Most older ford 5 lug rims will fit, as well as several others.

My jeep is mainly for weekend driving, and will get dirty occationally. Should I get 10inch rims for weekend driving comfort? would 10inchs cause potential rubbing issues?

Most of the 10" rims will still have 4" backspacing. I ran AR 767s, 15x10" (4" BS) with 33x12.50 MT tires on my old '71. The 10" wheel gave a slightly wider stance, I liked that.

However, when aired down to ~15 psi for offroad, a number of times I ended up with gravel/roots/bark/mud packed between the rim and the tire, causing the bead to leak. When this happens offroad, you need either a spare and jack or a compressor and jack...Probably wouldn't have happened if I had been running 8" wheels.
You shouldn't have any front rubbing issues with either a 10" or 8" width as long as you stay at 4" BS or less. In the rear, your tires will rub the inside of the wheelhouse when stuffed with either size wheel... no big deal, all the CJs rub there.

I like the V5 above... looks like no 5x5.5... maybe call them and ask?? Or find another Cragar distributor?

I have 15x10 rims with 33x12.50r15 and they look funny on my JEEP, I think, and they rub just a slight bit. I am kind of bias to the tall skinny tire look because where I am from wider tires don't work quite as well as skinny tires. I plan on getting 33x10.50r15 on 8"rims when the funds let me. There are pics of my JEEP somewhere in the posts if you look. I can;t remember which one I posted them on. It looks ok though from the side. Like the pics. Where exactly in upstate NY are you in? I live right next to NY.

Bummer deal, did they say how long until they get them in? You could always call the manufacturer and find other vendors that might have them in stock?
