Mc 2100

Swapping out a cracked exhaust manifold and 1bbl intake for newer 2bbl manifold. Decided to go with the MC2100 carb, any recommendations as to what to look for at the pick n pull. Wagoneer, Ford, etc. and year range. My search here didn't really nail down that part. Thanks for any suggestions.

 

Not sure which engine you are gonna put it on. But you need to know the venturi size you need for your engine. The size is marked on the side of the bowl in a circle, I think. It will read like 1.08 for example. My 2100 came from a Ford, but they are all pretty much the same.

 

Its going to replace the 1bbl on my 258. Roger on 1.08 I had forgot that it was stamped on the carb.

 

OK, did another search and found more info on the 2100 so I feel pretty good about my trip into town tomorrow at the pick n pull.

 

If your lucky enough to find one the correct Venturi Size with the " Aneroid Barometer Altitude Compensator " on the back of it they are good units and work very well.

 

Make sure you pick up one with the PCV nipple on the base of it. You'll find many older truck carbs in the yards without this conn.

 

Yeah, the one I ended up with didn't have it. So I tee'd into the brake hose..
