So my dad scored me this sweet cart from his work. Free always works for me:)
And I just happened to have this 2'x4' piece of 3/16...

Got the middle shelf 3/4'erd so the welder will fit nicely.

This is just the top set on their.

Still need to box the top with angle, renforce one corner for a vice, attach the top and hang the supports for the shelf. Also build the bottle mount and some other random odds and ends..

Im excited to not have to build stuff on the floor any more, kills my back, and im young!

Some sacrifices had to be made for me to have this cart..R) Mainly throwing out those 2 old dressers in the back ground.

Unfortunately no wheel locks, but the main reason we saved the cart was for the casters, they are rated at 750lbs each, and if you have shopped casters lately they arnt cheap.
So I'm hoping I wont have to address that design flaw. :) Lucky for me the garage floor is pretty level.

If you do like we do sometimes and keep a constant mess in the shop, with oil dry all over the place, you wont have much need for wheel locks. :)

Great lookin welding table man. We built one a while back to keep at my cousin's house that turned out pretty good, but weighs a ton, just how I like them. My cousin is unorganized though, so you pretty much can't find a spot on it to work on anything without moving stuff around and putting up his tools for him. I don't do any work in that shop anymore because of that.

Our garage suffers from a similar affliction, but mostly due to the fact that we have lots of tools and no tool boxes. Witch usually results in the dreaded "tool pile".
I have been a lot better about it lately though.

I'm certified in MIG and TIG, so I have had lots of practice.

I'm going to build the bottle mount today. Hopefully..

You'd be surprised at what the old stick can weld. I watched my dad weld the manual tire bead breaker back together, pretty impressive. I made my seat mounts from 1" 16 ga. steel tubing, and welded with the same 40+ year old arc welder. Prep time and patience go a long way.

That's me in the avatar welding the frames.

Here is the last batch of photos. Only a couple little things to add.. a magnetic catch for the service door on the welder, and a place to hang the power cord for storage.

I think it turned out pretty good for a total cost of $55..:D

Just curious, why did you mount your tank at an angle vs. vertically?

    Looks guuuuuud! :)

    Looks good.

    Is your welder 220?

The only thing I'd add (because it's been so handy on my own table) is an outlet for drills/grinders etc. But it was easy for me as the welder is 110.
