    All,
About to place a mega order, and might as well order my suspension while I'm at it. I have rusted flat springs right now, and have decided they're not good.
I have 7.00x15NDCC right now, and won't be affording new tires to go bigger until these are worn out (these are brand new, purchased by PO to tow from old home to new)
It seems Superlift is the only one offering anything besides Rancho. Rancho offers a "Mild 1 inch lift" where I would like to go with a "fierce" one inch spring lift. So that narrows me to 1" or 2.5" Superlift. Will it look goofy high with 2.5 and 29.5" tires? Will I need a 2.5 lift? Any pictures to offer on what it looks like?
    I've seen this thread....
    http://earlycj5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37013
And everyone has 2.5" ... No pictures of 1" on a flattie
    Thanks

Superlift makes a nice kit... 2.5" with a 29.5" tire will look a bit goofy IMO. i'd say the smallest you'd wanna go with that lift is 31".
go with the 1" lift unless you are planning on going with bigger tires eventually.

    Will I fit 31's on a 1" lift? I plan on 31's when these NDCC's wear out...

I wheeled 31x10.50's with (new) stock springs, but I'd go with the 1" lift if I had it to do over again. BTW I'm running 31x9.50 Swampers right now and they're the shizzle for a good, all around tire. Mud, snow, rocks, they like it all! :D

I know, I like the look and you brag about them all the time! ;) You have good reason too, your Jeep looks great.
So 1" Superlifts to fit the baby swampers when my NDCC's go bye bye?

    Cool! Superlift it is :)
Now to focus on stuff that's slowly steeling my sanity, such as steering, and my non running Jeep :)

Oh and Steve, I wonder if they made tires like the one you sent me, only full size and rated to hold the Jeep ;) R)

    Hmm, 2 more questions here...
Can I run the U Shackles with the new 1" Superlift,
    and
can I fit 32x9.50-15LT TSL's with this 1" lift on my optioned 15" Steelies, with minimal or no rubbing?

My 31's on standard-offset rims do rub on full lock in the front, and if I'm really crossed-up in the rear. I'm lazy, and I just haven't taken the time to adjust the bumpstops on the front axle. The 1" lift should help that a bit I would think.

If you're going to go to the trouble of replacing the springs, I would think about replacing the C-shackles with a set of H-style units. I've never seen a C-shackle bent or broken, but even I can see where an H-design would be stronger.

Hmm, so stick with 31's in the future then I see, thanks.
Lastly... How about shackle reversal? What's required in that? Thanks

stock spring will clear 31x10.50 with no problems on the right rim. The 7.00x16 tire almost measurs 31 inches.

Well my tires aren't by 16, they're by 15 and they're roughly 29.5, not big at all...

Nice thread.I have been thinking about a lift for our '45 MB and have read about Superlifts 2.5" but have been unable to find it listed in any of my catalogs our online??? Anyone have a link to the 1" and 2.5" lifts? I loved the 34 x 10.50Swampers when I had them on my CJ5 and regret selling them. I would like to eventually be able to run the 34 x 9.50's on the MB if the L head can turn them.

After all the bad reviews here and elsewhere, I wouldn't buy a skateboard form 4WD Hardware.

Lots of folks have ordered through Bob Supplee and been very happy with both the price & service.

I've ordered stuff from them before, such as my Warn Winch, and at $500+ It got here and in good shape too, it's certainly a gamble but so is every company... I suppose I'm willing to take that gamble

I should have worded it a little different 31 inch tires measure the same as 7.00x15 or 7.00x16. A 31 inch tires only measures around 29 inches usally.

There's a lot of good examples of the 2.5" lift coupled with the 32" tires. Keep in mind the superlift 2.5" lift does require slightly longer shackles to work. I find out the hard way by spending the day at Tellico with inverted rear shackles which pretty much equals solid mounted rear axle. I added 1" longer shackles and the springs work great.

I ordered mine from 4wdHardware when they had a free shipping sale. No problems. They were here in about a week.

I have the Black Diamond 3" lift waiting to go on. I bought the Superlift 5235 shackle conversion kits to get rid of the C shackles.
