    Old Trailer Hitch Please Help

    not sure I get your question but far as I know the used that type hitch for all early cj5s and 6s well up into the 60s not sure if they used it up into the 70s or not . Mine is a 62 and looked just like yours minus the frame for the hunting seat that someone has attached.

    It was used until at least 1974, I have seen several with that same setup on it.

    Yup, the 73 has the same set up, or had rather. The triangle part where the ball mounts, even though appears to be really thick and heavy duty, will break in half if hit just right with a small sledgehammer. :evil:

    Jeep called it a "draw bar." Offered as an option for every year CJ-5 AFAIK.
