:flag:I just got a 71 CJ5 and i am going to rewire it... I just bought a mini 21 EZ wiring harness....i was wondering if i could mount the fuse box in the glove box with no problems.... i was thinking of ease to change fuses and also higher for water crossings.. would there be any problems running the wires on the right side of the frame and body?

I rewired my 71' with a EZ 12. After tackling this job I think I would mount the fuse box on the firewall instead of under the dash. Just my $.02.

I mounted my Ez-wire12 behind the glove box on the firewall slightly to the left of the box. I had one of the original kits. The wires were slightly short on the rear lights but the newer ones will probably make it as the wires are quite abit longer now.

If it feels good do itjust dont mount it where random junk in the box will roll around and release the magic smoke out of the wires and stuff. One word of advice I have never wired stuff using a kit of any kind and jeeps dont have enough circuits to be too complicated so the biggest problem is gonna be the quality of your crimps and connectors. go buy a set of good thomas and betts or klein crimpers and strippers and you will have about 98% less electrical problems than if you use a set of cheapies out of the 99 cent bin at the local auto parts store

I mounted mine on the fire wall just left of the glove box as well. I decided to mount it in a place that I could see all of the fuse's and change with ease with out getting all twisted just to change a fuse.

I must say that aleast for me the Painless is just that...Painless.
