:?:?:?i just finished lifting my 74 and i cant get the front brake lines off the front drum backing plates. does any body know if there is a special wrench i need to get in to the tight spot ??? I have tried just about every thing in the garage and wound up in the same place when i started with the addition of a few bloody knuckels. i know a few pictures would help but i dont have my camera now. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.:?:?

Thay make a wrench called tubing wrench or flair nut wrench, it looks like a 6 point box with a slot cut in it.
Also you might take the wheel cylinders off and put it in a vise. Or just replace hase and cylinders thay arnt to many dollars.

It should. Take a carefull look at the other end of the hose where it attaches to the hard line, usually at an anchor point. If that end is small enough to fit through the hole in the backing plate where the wheel cylinder protrudes through you should be able to disconnect the lines there and pass the entire hose out ,while attached to the cylinder.Or you can just pass the cylinder/hose through far enough to get at the fitting and break it free off the cylinder, depends if you want to replace the hose, the cylinder, or how far you want to go. :)
