Here it goes... First my brake light only works on the right hand side ( already checked bulb and bulb is fine on left side) i can turn the lights on and the light on the right hand side is brighter than left also when pushing the brake you can barely tell its being lit up any suggestions

Most tail light-brake combo lights use an 1157 or equivalent bulb, the tail lights, when on light up the lower element, less bright, the brake lights when they come on light up the taller, brighter, element. sounds as if one side may be hooked up in reverse. Try switching the order of connection.

    Hope this helps.

You have lost ground to the tail light. Depending on type of light assy you are using, it may use the mounting bolts for ground or it may have seperate wire going to frame. Any how that is your problem.

Try this...take your test light...make sure the clip is on a good ground and the touch the metal base of the light bulb with it still in the rig. This will give the bulb some ground and will most likely make it light, flash and do all the right things. If you do not have a test light...you can strip a wire at both ends...ground one side to something with a pair of vice grips and then touch the base of the bulb with the other end.
