Should the turn signals in my 68 be self-canceling?
I didn't see anything in the owners manual, and before I pull it apart to look in the column I thought I would ask.

    Thanks guys

Supposed to be, probably find the little plastic cancel arm broken. They are replaceable separately, complete switch assemblies are also available new from this guy, Jeepdog.

Do you have a stock steering wheel on your Jeepster? If so, look on back of the wheel, when you pull it off. There should be a spring steel canceling lever on the back side of the wheel. If it is there, your signals should cancel.

Ok thanks guys I will look into it one of these days now... With all my diffrent cars I am never sure anymore.
The Model A has no signals, the 66 has a basic non canceling spartan type unit, and the Jeepster should cancel but does not.... Some days I wonder how I remember how to drive them all!

I just ordered a replacement cam for about $8 plus shipping. I will have to splice some wires. Will let you know if it does the trcik on mine. The complet kit with cam, wires, and hazard switch is available too for about $70.

The Sparton should self-cancel...;) It has a rubber wheel that rides on the steering wheel shoulder that does the cancellation.

Actually my Spartan doesn't have the wheel, and the bottom of my steering wheel is cracked and broken so it wouldn't work anyway.........

I just bagged it and got a column out of a Camaro,
put new guts in it and everything is like new again.
