    R) nope there was only small fish that I could see but yes there are lots of gators and snakes in JW Corbett. I never got off the JEEP. My buddy drove up with my red TJ and tossed me the rope and I was able to hook it up without touching the water;)

Sounds like a good Idea. Let see if I can get out of work :) sometime this week to do this

When it is cold and I start it up it fills the filter very fast but when the bubbles start to show it has a hard time keeping the filter full.

I agree, I don't think the pump is bad. I've never had anything vapor lock either. Aside from carb problems, only fuel problems I've been around were 2 different instances with friends JEEPs. One was a rag in the tank, other was collapsed line to fuel pump.

hmm a rag in the tank! wow R). I am going to replace the metal fuel lines this weekend as that is the only line I have not replaced yet.

What does the pump inner parts consist of. I remember when I was rebuilding the Carter YF I noticed the diaphram inside he carb was very rigid. Since this pump was in a dry state like the carb was for so long (since 2005) wouldn't there be something going bad preventing it from pumping with the amount of volume?

I had the same problem... It was a rust-type trash that had built up in the tank. I have a filter before the pump and after. For what it's worth, NAPA has carried the pumps in the past, and it's worth asking about. I got mine in January, part number M2195.

I have decided to replace the fuel pump. I see out there pumps with vacuum and without vacuum. Mine has a fuel pump with vacuum but I have electric wipers. Can I use either pump, are they interchangeable.

I had another though on my issue. Would a non functioning PCV valve cause gas to get pushed up thru the fuel pump when engine is hot (running for 15 min or more)?

You can use either pump, I use the non vacuum type. I have electric wipers also. A non functioning PCV valve wouldn't have anything to do with the fuel system.
