Following another link, it shows it should have been built in July 64. So I guess I 'just' missed it being a '65 model. A '66 would have been better. That was the year I was born!! R)
And so far, that's the only numbers I've found on the Jeep.

You gonna use that hubcap? Don't all tuxedos have an A in the VIN, like 8332A.....? Maybe not on the earlier ones? Anyway congrats on your find and welcome to the Tuxedo club.

I actually have three hubcaps. The two front, and one rear. So I need another rear myself!!!
The plate under the hood, picture is above somewhere, doesn't show an "A" anywhere. Working on getting a title now. Know where we can find a hubcap? and a passenger side hood plate?

The floors in it are almost gone. But my brother and I can do bodywork and paint. Plus rebuild engines and trannys. There's probably not much we can't do around the house except for actual machine work. Don't have the room for the mills and boring machines and stuff!!!

Hub cap is from a later AMC year jeep. Looks like the ones that were mounted on the '77 Cherokee I sold last year in Snohomish County, Washington.:)

Can anyone tell me if the hubcaps are correct for this year??? Found a guy with a set of two. But don't want to buy them if they aren't correct. But then 99.9% of the people out there wouldn't have any idea they were the wrong hubcap!!!!

ps, I'll get a GOOD picture tomorrow. Dark now!!!

Those are the hubcaps on my '66 Tuxedo and I've seen them in many old Tuxedo Park pics and brochures. They also came on Gladiators and Wagoneers of the same vintage. My VIN is 8332A 15979. I am working on a set of 2 rear hubcaps also. No extra hood badges here.

Hey Craig, could you post a close up photo of both a front and a rear hubcap? I need a set for my 66 Tux. Let me know if you have any for sale. Thanks.
