Rookie Rebuilder

    Thanks for the info. I jumped at the chance to purchase the PS pump without really checking it out..mmm...but I can offer these photos to help clear up what is currently there. Note the bolt-mount to the manifold. Is this part of the PS mount? Which pulleys tensioners would I need for conversion to PS?

    Pretty sure you need a manifold with this bolt location to use the driver's side PS mount:

    This is my truck, but the engine is basically the same.

    I don't have an example to look at, but I believe the CJs from this era had a passenger's side pump. Somebody might post a pic, or if you search the archives you might see one. This topic has been covered a lot here.

    I can't tell you specifically what you'll need, since there are several different setups. I recall that Jim (jpflat2a) posted that there are 4 or 5 different 6-cylinder crank pulleys from this era. IMO the best route is to keep this fact in mind, and get everything related to the PS pump from the front of the donor engine - pulleys, brackets, water pump, PS pump.
