    This is what I started with:

    Things I did:
    Lots of body work
    POR-15 paint on anything rusty
    OD paint job
    Bestop Tigertop soft top
    new hood latches
    new side mirror
    new rear view mirror
    new turn signal lights
    new tail lights
    cut out the tailgate area and installed a "new" tailgate
    "new" tailgate chains, hooks, hinges

    I'm currently working on the seats.

    Thanks.

    I'm keeping the hard top, but I thought I'd give the Bestop Tigertop a try and see which I like better. For looks, I like the soft top better, but the hard top will be better for winter.

    Since I took those last pictures, I painted the aluminum door channels OD green to match the jeep, so they're not so obvious anymore.

    Nice amount of bondo you had on it there at the start. Looks like mine :p

    Thanks guys. Yeah, it's got some putty, but for now I just wanted to get it back together and street legal so I can have some fun with it. A full restoration will come sometime in the future.

    Got my "classic" plate and vihicle registration back from the DMV. All I need now is a safety inspection and it's road legal again...I guess I better get the seats back in it and the lights wired up first.
