    Hi All,

I have read many, many threads here regarding seats. I currently have a pair of 76' CJ seats in my rig that have seen better days. I want to run shoulder harnesses and get something a little more comfortable. I have been looking at the Corbeau Moab seats, cloth and vinyl. The dimensions seem pretty close to my current seats. Anyone have a set of these? If there is someone out there using these any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

I have a set of these in my '04 TJ. I loved them and they were really comfortable for daily driver duties and especially comfortable when I was offroad. If I had to do it over again, I would buy them again.

So I bit the bullet today and ordered a set of these seats. Black vinyl with cloth inserts. Best price I found on line was $219.99. Picked them up locally for $180 each + tax...no shipping though Supposedly "bolt in". I'll let you know. They should be here by end of this week or early next.....need something to work on right before my Rubicon trip 9/28.

I am interested in upgrading my seats, as well. Could you please post some pictures after you are done? I would appreciate it. Photos of your Rubicon trip would also be great.

    Hi Don,
I PM'd you. I hope to have the seats by Friday. That will give me most of the weekend to work on them.
I will hopefully get better pics from the Rubiscon than the Dusy, my son's old camera sucked. He got a new one for his B-day a couple of weeks ago.

I'll try to get some pics of the seats after install.

    Hi All,

Picked up the seats yesterday. I installed the drivers side last night with very minimal isseus but ran into a problem with pass side. Seat breacket 15 1/2" apart, seat 11 1/2" mounting holes. I picked up some 3/16 flat steel and mounted that to the seats. I then mounted the seats to the brackets. Looks to be strong enough. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow.

I dont have the moabs, but i do have a set of the baja seats. I am very happy with them, the only thing i sometimes wish i had done differently was to order the SS version as it is a little bit larger, but now that I am done with my chemo and off of the steroids, i am getting back down to normal size so i fit again.

Quick picture of the installed seats. I removed the speakers hanging from the roll bar sice the radio has not worked for a couple of years. I am going to remove the one on the drivers side also.

Why is there a Club on the steering wheel when it's in your garage? :p

My trail buddy and photographer (son) decided to go to a friend's birthday party instead of the trip. Not sure how many pictures I will get now but hopefully I will get some.

So I got to try out the new seats, what a difference. I really like the side support. After running the Dusy this summer my back was raw from rocking back and forth so much. The new seats eliminated that completely.

I really like the looks of your new seats. Did they affect your leg room much? How did the seats do with softening the vertical jars while driving? Your seats don't look like suspension seats.....are they? If they aren't, I wonder how your seats would compare to suspension seats. I personally have never seen a suspension seat up close and don't know how they work.

I got the Rubicon trip photos. Thanks. Keep me in mind for next season.

My leg room was not affected much at all. When I was looking for new seats the Moabs were very close in size to the 72' CJ seats I had in it. They really made the trip much more enjoyable by removing much of the side to side movement. I have never seen a suspension seat either.
My friend is trying to talk me into running Deer Valley the 1st weekend in Nov. Not sure I want to freeze for another weekend though. I'll let you know of any trips we plan for next year also.
