    well, I got another cj5 this mourning. from the vin I think its a 1973.
    It has a I6, d20 t-case, d30/d44 and I'm not sure what transmission.
    It has a tailgate :D
    and it is also a little rusty.

    I'll post pictures of it later on today :beer:

    Borg-Warner T-14 with a 258.
    492 = Jet-Set Blue Poly (metallic)
    422 = trim code - don't know.

    IIRC J518917 is the invoice #, and 9 is an internal Jeep factory code. 8300 is probably the model number - redundant with the VIN.

    Cool Jeep man! With those rusted front fenders, it's a perfect time/reason to go with flat fenders.

    Do you have any plans for it already?

    Thanks Timgr :patriot:

    thanks. first I plan to get it running. Then I plan to either cut up the fenders, strengthen the frame and floor, add a front section to the cage and put my tj's 33"tsl radials on it or use it for a swamp buggy for big cypress; take the body off, strengthen the frame, and make a platform.
