Need Help Finding A Part

I really need help finding a spring plate for a 1973 CJ5. I had posted a couple months ago that they could be found online @ morris 4x4. 3 spring plates later and still not the right one. I think the ones I was sent must be for a different model. The one I am looking for goes under the passenger side and the outside holes are a little wider apart than the holes closest to the wheel. It also has a threaded bolt sticking out from the back for the shock to be mounted. I am kind of new at this and I have done pretty much all I know to do to find the part. If anyone has a resource for getting this part, I sure would be greatful.

I think the PO may have put the spring plates back on wrong. Can someone look at the picture of the link above and tell me if this is how mine should look. The one I took off has the bolt on the left side (unlike the pic). I know this is for a different model but it makes me wonder because the first plat I was sent looked like this one.

 

The one in your link is only applicable up to 71. Mine is a 73, and I gave up on finding OEM style spring plates for 72-75 Jeeps (I gave up quickly). I installed Warrior Products skid plates instead. I might have what you need. I twisted off the threaded part on one plate but can't remember which side. Even so, you could cut out the broken stud and weld in a generic shock mount stud available from NAPA. I'll check on the spring plate tonight to see if it needs repaired.

Chilly...Thank You. Even the salvage yards I've called say they have the part but when I ask them to give me the measurements for the holes, they are different. Can you give me some info or website on the warrior skid plates? I am also about to give up but I was not aware of a different solution. Depending on the cost, I may just do what you did.

 

I got mine from www.quadratec.com and you can go to http://www.warriorproducts.com/catalog/catalog.php to check out what they are. They are overkill for what I'll use the Jeep for, and I wish I could have found inexpensive factory plates, but I didn't want to be messing around with people sending me stuff that was rotted away or parts that aren't what I asked for. They're pricey, but nice. I like the replaceable stud idea, and will incorporate their studs into my rear axle's top shock mounts when I fabricate replacements (mine are rotted pretty bad).

I'll still check to see if my take-off plate is intact in case you prefer to spend next to nothing vs $125 or so for four Warrior Product plates (they sell them in pairs: front or rear kits)
