The brackets on my rear leaf springs seem kind of, umm, wierd. They just don't seem very strong. Do these look stock?

Here's my front ones, these look aftermarket, and much stronger:

So what can anyone tell me about the above pics?

Your rear shackles look like the stock ones that were on mine. I replaced them with new ones of the same design. No problems.

Yep..stock...they last for years and the aftermarket likes to make you think you need something stronger because they're easy to make and profitable...:)

Another reason yours may be acting weird as that the hole is really elongated from wear. What does the bolt look like?
I would change it all out..

    Stock.

(Still laughing at the other WTF!!!? thread)
Mine came with (and still has) the stock shackles like yours, but no nuts holding the bolts in the bushings!!
I drove it around in the field when I first got it home and then when I got it back into the shop I saw it. WTF!!?

I would get that replaced before you drive it at any speed what so ever!

I went back with the factory style on my 6. I have not got to drive it yet, but they seem strong enough.

    Bolts look a-ok.

The pics were from before it was drivable. Since then I've got it running, and have driven it numerous times (up to 55 MPH, and on VERY bumpy gravel hills). As far as I can tell, there's been zero movement (all the rust is undisturbed).
