Finally got my 5 out for it's first "real" offroading trip and found out how bad the underbody is REALLY rusted

Sorry if this question has been asked a hundred times, but I haven't seen a full answer yet. Do the hat channels and underbody support structures come with the replacement floor panels or must they be bought separately? If they're separate, are there any good upgrades (C-channel, rectangular tube, etc) that can be made during panel replacement? It looks like not much of my original floor structure remains so it's hard to clearly envision how the replacement floor panels will go in. I'm also missing three or four body mounts, they just rusted away :(

All of the replacement panels that I have seen were sold without the channels. I have seen some nice fabbed floors and mounts using rectangular tubing and sheet metal. If you do not care about originality I am sure it is cheaper to make your own. For me it would depend on the condition of the rest of the body. Cam

Thanks for the replies. From the looks of things, a bead roller with beading and flanging wheels, and all the sheetmetal, will be cheaper than just buying the front floor pan. The fab will be fun, too :)
