I went to buy what I thought was a CJ3b and it turned out to be a CJ6. All I got with it was a bill of sale and I'm trying to find out what year it is so I don't buy wrong year parts for it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Jerry

Looks to be built in Dec of '64 which makes it a '65 model year.

Going by this as a reference.

Congrats on joining the elite world of CJ6 ownership! Got any pics? ;)

Thanks for the link and info.
No pics yet.....just got my new camera yesterday. Body is pretty trashed but frame and drive train are in very good shape.
Person I bought it from took the body off years ago and stored it outside uncovered but put chassis and drive train in garage and covered it.
So far all I know is that it has the original 4 cyl, T98 trans and factory PTO setup.
Only had it a few days and ain't had much time to mess with it....YET.
    Thanks
    Jerry:)

Thanks Bill, I was preoccupied when I replied.

The post will be likely to get more attention here than where it was Jerry.

On the contrary...it seems like a good number of the active builds going on are CJ6's...especially when you figure the difference in production numbers...;)

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.
I have been here awhile but not posted much. I also have a 69 CJ5 with the Dauntless V6 and a 64 DJ3a. I usually try to do my homework before asking for help but I was stumped on this one.
I hope to be posting more in the future....not only for help.....LOL
    Thanks
    Jerry
