- side of coil

    just a quick question:

    i'm installing my new tach and it says to attach it to the negative side of the coil, is this towards the dist. or the ballast??

    The coil should be marked. Try wiping down the cap with a rag if it's dirty.

    goes to - and that is the side going to the dist,and if its not it is wired backwards

    Ill check after dinnner, but i already cleaned it pretty well, if it was painted on and not raised i wouldn't see if because it has been painted over.

    we shall see
