How late is late? You mean, '76 and later? The floors are different, and the mounting points on the frame are different. You may have to do some 'glass work to make it fit, but I think it's do-able. The exterior panels will be the same.

Yes the tub is for a 76 and later. You say the floors are different as in clearance problems etc. Is this a can of worms I'm best not to open. Thanks

I don't know - never tried it. The mold for the exterior probably is the same as earlier models. In the 'glass bodies I'm familiar with, the outer body and floors are molded as separate pieces, then joined with glass mat and resin.

The floor is in roughly the same place wrt the body, but the shape of the center hump/tunnel is different, and there are fewer removable panels. The '76-on frame is way different, and splays out to the rear, so you'll have to make new mounting points to support the body. Usually there's plywood laid into the 'glass where the mounts are (reinforcements) so it will be more than just drilling new holes ... or maybe not. Have you ever worked with fiberglass?

I have a late glass tub on a 69 frame, the wheel base on the later tub is a little longer, but it can be done, I had to fab a lot of my frame anyways so body mounting wasn't a problem, I forgot to lengthen my wheelbase when I worked on the frame, but with a body lift and minor fenderwell trimming it looks ok. In short it can be done, but it's a lot of work.
