1960Willys If you have only the one lead to the small terminals that is from the ignition switch connected to the "S" terminal. That line activates the solenoid. The other terminal marked "I" is the one that runs back to the coil to supply a full 12 volts when the starter is engaged by passing the balast resistor.

Don't have that lead and mine runs fine.
The '77 Cherokee I sold 6 months ago didn't have it either, and it ran fine also.R) What can I say?:)
Also the F134 doesn't use the ballast resistor. It's not shown on the schematics, and isn't present any where in the wiring harness. At least not that I have been able to find.

Thanks for the help. I wish I had the jeep here to go look at it and answer some questions. I used a EZ wire harness to wire everything, so if someone has that kit in theirs, then they can help with what wire is what, I just cant remember and am not knowledgeable to look at the pics and tell you. There was a couple of old wires, that we didnt know what they were, so we ended up leaving them in, but 95 % is new.
Hell, I was surprised it fired up first try, but once I pulled it out of town, then this started. The alt, coil, and starter solinoid were the things that we scratched our head on the most when doing the rewire.
