turn signal lights

My 2A has a turn signal kit on it. The lights for the front ar two 4" round lights mounted on top of the fenders. I guess this was a common mod to add turn signals to the flat fenders. My lights need to be replaced. I found some similar round lights at Tractor Supply Company, but before I buy those I was wondering what other folks have done for front turn signals. Post pics if you got 'em.

the Sparton Sc3-R Switch... there is a place you can buy reproductions, but I haven't found it online yet to post here.... Works well on my flatty WIre it direct to your front parking lights and tail lights.

 

I had the same big turn signals on my 2A. I didn't care for them so I replaced the parking light socket on the grill with one that accepts a 2 element bulb. Then wired them to function as parking lights with the dim element and turn signals with the bright one. I think it looks nice and clean.

 

I like that idea. Maybe I'll go with something like that.

 

I have a Signal_Stat turn signal unit on the steering column of my 2A I opened it up to trace how it worked and figured out that you can use single element front lights, very similar to how the rear stop/directional lights work. With the parking lights off the directionals work normally. With the parking lights on the front lamp is lit unless the directional for that side is turned on, it that case it will blink. The opposite side light will stay lit.

I did this around 8 years ago when I rewired my 2A with a kit from Centech wiring. I don't know if I can find the diagram I drew of the Signal Stat switch, but I'll look for it.
