dash indicator lights

    hi my name is jason and let me start off by saying this has been the most helpful sight i have ever seen as i just aquired my first jeep 73 cj5 w/304 for christmas from my wife and i love it and to say thank you to everyone for all the info. My ? today is does anyone know where i can get the 3 dash indicator lights all i have ever been able to find is ones for 76 and newer.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Ebay has them. Don't know if there was a hazard indicator OEM but I am still searching for that one. Does not come in the set. Seen one on EBAY but it went for $35.00.

    Put a good ground to all so they will be nice and bright!

    The HAZARD light is pre '76, the LIGHTS and WIPERS light should be interchangeable with the 76 & up but the HAZARD light may be a tough one. If you find some please share it with me. I need one too.

    I bought a dash from a 73 a few years ago because it was in such good shape and there were a couple of lights with it. I had planned to use it in my 56, but then I found out how AMC had cleverly moved the steering column notch over 3" from that of the older CJ5's. Are you talking about the rectangular lighted indicators that go in the dash, or what? As soon as it quits snowing, I'll dig them out and see what I've got. They're yours for the price of the shipping.

    Hmmm............. my LIGHTS is broken its nice to know I can use those to replace it.

    I know on the 75's the dash lights have a green tint to them. Not sure about the 74's and earlier. The 76's and after have a little different design. You can carefully disassemble the 75's, use the 75 bezel and use the 76-up light housing if you want to retain the factory look.........

    These are not for your year but you get the idea.

    You could probably make something up for yourself and print it out. Take thebezel off and put in your own label.
