The Tank on my jeep has some set of inner walls that do not allow me to just pour out the old gas and what sediment lies with it. Does anyone have any tricks they use to vacume this stuff out without risking a fire?

You could use water preassure and a vacume nozzle to create suction. Only problem with that is you then have a lot of water contaminated with fuel.
Best way to do this cheap is a water bed drain kit.

Fill it halfway full of kerosene, let it sit, shake it around, unplug the outlets, let it drain, strain kerosene, repeat untill it looks clean.

If you remove the fuel pick up/vent. You can get to the other side of the tank. It's big enough to get your arm in there. Also if you tank isn't very rusty. You could just remove the drain plug.

There is always the good ol' match on the end of a very long stick, and then go get a new one.

Other than that.... lots of patience and keep running the kerosene through it.

If you use water go dump in some cheap alcohol afterwards, swish it around and dump it out. Repeat that a time or too and you'll be good. Water mixes with alcohol, so you can dilute it down and get it out, plus a little extra alcohol in your fuel won't hurt it.

I used a gallon of acetone and two quarts of pea gravel. I hung the tank from the chain lift in the shop and shook it for what felt like three days, and it cleaned really well for what I put into it.

These are all great ideas. I appreciate all the advice, save the recommendation to buy a new tank. Right now, I'm running off of six gallon boat tanks, but i'd like to put the old tank back in before the June trip.
