My transfer case linkage is so sloppy I can't find 2H! 4H and 4L are fine, but 2H is all but impossible to locate. I know the 20 shift pattern was never a precision operation from the begining, but this is insane. I have looked at twin stick shift conversions online and the prices are all over the place. I found some nice looking twin sticks on eBay, but I am kinda skeptical. Has anyone used them? How difficult are they to install? Any recommendations or tips? My Jeep is a '72 CJ5, AMC 304, 3 sp.

I had the same problem. I replaced mine with the JB one off Ebay. I love it. I can actually feel it click into gear. I never knew if I was in 4 high or 2 high, now I know for sure.

Thanks for the input. I ordered and installed the short twin stick model from JB. WOW! It works well. No complaints. It looks good, it's heavy duty, it works, it was cheap (compared to most upgrades), AND it was easy to install! What more could you ask for?

I don't know much about these conversions. Are these just the shift levers/linkages that come in the kit? How much do they run?

I bought mine off ebay for $136.00.It is a JB Fabrication,it fit good and was easy to install.I went as far as to remove the interlock pills so my front and rear axles work seperate. It took about 4 or 5 hour to install it,that includes the removal and installation of the transfer case.
