What is the best year, and make to put in my 75'. I don't want to go w/ the expensive flaming river, but just find something that will fit. Also, do I need just the tilt, or any other parts?
    Tks in advance

I do not know about where to get a tilt column, but after you are done and want to get rid of your non-tilt column I would be interested.

The best/easiest is to find a later model CJ 76 and up. Get the column, the swing pedals, steering shaft, steering gearbox and power steering pump all from the same donor if you can.

My column came out of a Caddie tilts and telescopes, I did not do the work but my buddy said they bolt right in if they come out of a similar year GM, I found one at a junk yard and he put it right in. Gives a little class to the old jeep with a Cadillac emblem on the wheel, and it cost a whole lot less that the flaming river I was looking at.
